Terms and conditions

The German version of this document is the authoritative one; translations are provided for understanding only.

§ 1 Scope

These terms apply to every contract you conclude through the online shop at tiegerdeko.com with Tieger GmbH, Steeler Straße 285, 45138 Essen.

A consumer is any natural person entering into a transaction for purposes predominantly outside their trade or profession (§ 13 BGB). An entrepreneur is a person acting in the exercise of their trade or profession (§ 14 BGB). Where these terms distinguish between the two, that is stated explicitly.

The customer’s differing terms do not become part of the contract unless we expressly agree to them in writing.

§ 2 Conclusion of contract

The presentation of products in the online shop is not a binding offer but an invitation to you to place an order.

By clicking “Order with obligation to pay” you make a binding offer for the goods in your cart. Immediately before that, the goods, quantities, total price, shipping costs and the VAT contained are shown to you again in full, and you can change your entries at any time using your browser’s back function or the steps of the checkout.

After you submit the order you immediately receive an automatic acknowledgement of receipt by email. That acknowledgement only records that your order reached us; it is not yet an acceptance of your offer.

The contract of sale comes into existence when we accept your offer. We declare acceptance by a separate order or dispatch confirmation, and at the latest when the goods are handed to the carrier. The purchase price is collected through the payment service you chose at the time of ordering. If no contract comes about — for example because an item is no longer available despite what was shown — we refund the amount collected in full and without undue delay, by the same means of payment.

We store the text of the contract. You receive the order data and these terms with the confirmation email; the current version of these terms is always available on this page. The language of the contract is German; the English and Arabic versions are provided for understanding, and the German one prevails.

§ 3 Prices and shipping costs

All prices shown in the shop are final prices in euro and include statutory VAT, currently 19 %. No separate charge is made for payment processing costs; they are already contained in the prices shown. For an exempt intra-Community supply to a business with a confirmed VAT ID, no German VAT is shown (reverse charge).

Shipping costs are charged in addition to the price of the goods. For parcel delivery we charge a flat 9,90 €; from a merchandise value of 750,00 € we deliver free of shipping costs. If an order contains at least one item that cannot be sent by parcel, delivery is by forwarder; we charge 89,00 € for that, and the free-shipping threshold does not then apply. The shipping cost for your order is shown to you before you submit it.

§ 4 Payment

Payment is made through our payment service provider Stripe. Which methods are available is shown during checkout, and only those apply. The purchase price falls due when the order is placed.

We charge no additional fee for the payment itself, whichever method you choose.

OPEN — to be decided before publication: whether approved dealers should have different payment terms (payment on account with a due date, for example). Today every order, private or business, is paid through Stripe at checkout; a clause saying otherwise would describe a feature that does not exist.

§ 5 Delivery

We deliver to: DE, AT, NL, BE, FR. Delivery to parcel lockers or PO boxes is not possible. Forwarder goods are delivered kerbside unless otherwise agreed.

OPEN — to be completed before publication: the usual delivery times for parcel and forwarder goods. Delivery information is binding towards consumers, so no estimated figure is stated here until it has been agreed with the carriers.

If an ordered item is not available we will inform you without undue delay. Where payment has already been made, we refund the amount concerned promptly.

For consumers, the risk of accidental loss and deterioration passes only when the goods are handed over to you, including on a sale involving carriage. Towards entrepreneurs, the risk passes when the goods are handed to the carrier.

§ 6 Made-to-measure work, planning and installation

Made-to-measure and individually planned work — kitchens and bathrooms measured on site in particular — cannot be ordered or paid for through the online shop. They are marked as quotation lines and lead to a personal offer. A contract for them only comes about when you accept that offer, and the terms and withdrawal information attached to the offer apply to it.

Installation and assembly are not part of a contract of sale concluded through the shop. They can be requested with an order; they are not charged through the shop but agreed separately on the basis of a quotation that takes effort, travel and access into account.

§ 7 Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. The details, the periods, the effects of withdrawal and the model withdrawal form are set out in our withdrawal instruction, which forms part of these terms and additionally reaches you by email with the order confirmation.

You may declare the withdrawal informally or use the electronic withdrawal function on our website; we acknowledge its receipt by email without undue delay.

§ 8 Retention of title

The goods delivered remain our property until they have been paid for in full.

§ 9 Liability for defects

The statutory rules on liability for defects apply. For consumers, claims based on a defect become time-barred two years after delivery. Any rights under a manufacturer’s guarantee granted in addition remain unaffected.

Please report transport damage to us and to the carrier as soon as you can. Failing to do so has no effect on your statutory claims, but it helps us pursue the damage against the carrier.

§ 10 Business customers

As a business customer you can register and apply for approval. We decide on approval, the price group and any discount after review; there is no entitlement to it. Once approved, prices are shown to you net.

Where a confirmed VAT identification number is on file and delivery goes to the member state that issued it, we show no German VAT; you owe the tax in your member state (reverse charge, Art. 196 VAT Directive). The check runs through the European Commission’s VIES system.

The right of withdrawal in these terms is a consumer right. Entrepreneurs have no statutory right of withdrawal.

§ 11 Dispute resolution

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG). The European Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025, so no reference to it is given.

§ 12 Applicable law and jurisdiction

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another state, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that state remain unaffected.

If the customer is a merchant, a legal person under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is Essen. For consumers, the statutory places of jurisdiction apply.

Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
